New Work.

My interest in alchemy as the synthesis of art, science and medicine eventually led to the study of Western Biomedicine, Chinese Medicine and Chinese Culture between 2002 -2009 (Chinese Alchemy manifests as what we now understand as Chinese Medicine). In 2008-2009, I studied with Dr Volker Scheid, a leading practitioner scholar and anthropologist of Chinese Medicine, whose writings illuminate the role Chinese Art plays within plural medical practice (see links). New work incorporates recent medical and sinological study within sculpture, sound installation and performance .
